Chapter Bylaws
Dear PMI Savannah Chapter Members,
The PMI Savannah Chapter Board of Directors is committed to ensuring that our governing documents remain current, effective, and aligned with PMI requirements and the evolving needs of our chapter.
In accordance with our chapter bylaws and governance requirements, we are pleased to share proposed updates to the PMI Savannah Chapter Bylaws for member review and feedback.
The review period will begin on August 24, 2026 and conclude on September 25, 2026.
Summary of Proposed Changes
The proposed updates are intended to modernize the chapter's governance framework, align with current PMI chapter standards, and support long-term sustainability of chapter leadership and operations.
- Clarification and modernization of Board roles, responsibilities, and governance practices.
- Updates to leadership succession and vacancy provisions to support continuity and long-term chapter sustainability.
- Establishment of Board term limits while providing flexibility to maintain operations when qualified successors are not immediately available.
- Enhancements to nomination and election processes, including support for electronic voting and strengthened conflict-of-interest safeguards.
- Clarification of committee oversight, member voting rights, and Board authority.
- Alignment with current PMI policies, compliance requirements, and chapter governance expectations.

Please submit your comments and questions to President@PMISavannah.org no later than September 25, 2026.
We encourage all members to review the proposed amendments and provide feedback during the review period. Your participation helps ensure that our chapter continues to operate transparently and in the best interests of our membership.
Voting Information
Following the review period, the proposed bylaw amendments will be presented to the membership for a formal vote.
- Voting will be conducted through the PMI voting platform.
- Detailed voting instructions and timelines will be provided before voting opens.
- In accordance with the chapter bylaws, members in good standing will be eligible to vote on the proposed amendments.
